Boston Towing & Transportation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reinauer Companies. BTT's corporate offices, fleet and support facilities are located in East Boston, Mass. We are the largest New England-based marine transportation company providing regularly scheduled petroleum transport, ship docking and general and specialized towing services.

In 1932, BTT established offices in Boston and Portland, Maine. In 1979 and 1984 respectively, BTT acquired the assets, employees and associated business of the Ross Towboat Co. and the Boston Towboat Co. Through these acquisitions BTT became the oldest, largest, continually operating general towing company in New England dating back to 1857.

As a multi-service, marine transportation company, BTT provides ship docking, RO/RO and passenger ferry service, marine construction, salvage support, petroleum transportation and specialized towing. The acquisition of assets and key personnel of Gloucester Dredge & Dock Co. brings competitive marine construction services ­ seasoned management team, integrated support facilities and skilled labor -- into the BTT fold.

BTT has 130 management, operations, maintenance, construction and sea-going personnel. Fully bonded and insured, we confidently offer our maritime-related services.
